Workers Compensation Underwriter - 3371
Recognized and growing Property and Casualty Insurance carrier is seeking a Workers' Compensation Underwriter for their Houston territory.

Candidates will be responsible for the underwriting and marketing of workers' compensation accounts in a territory encompassing Houston and the surrounding areas. This is a PRODUCTION underwriting role that involves a heavy marketing and new business development component. You will work out of your home office remotely. Our client will consider candidates in Dallas or Austin, IF they handle a Houston territory.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years' experience in the underwriting of middle market work comp accounts in a carrier setting. Work comp must be the driving line of business if you have a casualty or multiline background.
Strong new business development and marketing skills
Excellent agency relationships in the Houston area
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
4 year college degree is preferred
Insurance designations such as CPCU, CIC, ARM etc. are considered a plus
Highly organized and self directed
This position represents a significant career opportunity for someone who loves to write business and can work remotely.
Salary to $100,000 depending on experience. No relocation assistance. Job 3371.
