More information about this job: Position Overview/Summary:
Preparation and Thermal Spray Coating of Parts for facility located near Bush International Airport on North side of Houston. This position is for 2nd shift however first few weeks of training will be during first shift hours. Position Qualifications (Required and Preferred):
* High School Diploma or equivalent * Must be able to read, write and speak English * Understanding of Basic Math computations, such as reading a ruler / micrometer * Understanding of standard tools, such as basic mechanics tools * The ability to watch, listen and learn / retain training for rapid understanding of processes Position Responsibilities and Duties:
* Operate Thermal Spray Equipment, specifically Praxair JP 5000 and 8000 * Operate Fanuc Robots to manipulate spray equipment * Apply protective Masking such as tapes, polymers, and metallic manufactured tooling * Perform surface preparation by means of Aluminum Oxide grit blast * Set-Up booths properly to include spray equipment, tooling and special cooling fixtures * Set Fanuc robot to run with proper program * Operate spray equipment per set parameter schedule * Visually inspect coating for bond and uniformity * Inspect Ceramic top coat by use of Eddy Current equipment. * Successfully remove tapes and other masking * Blend coating overspray, without causing damage
