We are seeking a Sr Project Control Specialist for our Houston, TX facility.

Honeywell Process Solutions (HPS) is a strategic business unit in Automation and Control Solutions (ACS). This position will be responsible for maintaining project cost and schedule tools used by project managers to measure, forecast and track project related work. The successful candidate will be assigned to multi-phased project, and will be required to provide work direction and mentoring to other more junior project control specialists. Work is usually office based but depending on individual project requirements the position may require travel to and / or work in client facilities or remote construction locations.
Additional Responsibilities . Intimate knowledge of project cost control functions (tracking, organization, forecasting, and measurement) is required, along with leading both cost and scheduling program activities within a small team. . Project cost experience and scheduling using Primavera are integral to the position. . Works closely with project management, contract management, engineering and construction personnel to define detailed measurement and scheduling criteria. . Works with business management (Program Managers & Directors) to report both project and program forecasts.
Basic Qualifications: . BS Degree. . 7 years of experience including hands on utilization of P3 or other similar scheduling tools during the last 2 years.
Additional Qualifications : . Hands on experience with enterprise wide cost accounting system, SAP preferred. . Certifications from PMI, AACE, or similar. . Experience with multi-disciplined projects (engineering, software development, construction, and procurement) and leading a project controls team. . The ability to interpret relationships between cost, schedule and resource requirements and how they relate to stated business objectives. . Team player with good written and verbal communication skills. . Experience in presenting project cost and schedule data to both project teams and upper management. . Travel less than 10%. . Working knowledge of the MS Office Suite of tools, in particular Excel, Word and Power Point.
