We are expanding our product development team to support significant growth over the next five years.
We therefore have several openings in the US for Test & Validation Engineers. You will have task assignments to deliver product components to time and specification and quality in an agile software development environment.
Accountabilities for this role include: * Interprets and executes test scripts using agreed methods and standards. * Conducts early life cycle validation and verification. * Monitors progress, and documents test failures and successes compared with pre-defined criteria, in accordance with agreed standards. * Uses normal operating facilities, diagnostic tools, technical manuals, test scripts and systems documentation to identify, diagnose and report on system errors. * Review test results and modifies tests if necessary. Produces reports on test cases. * Designs and produces re-usable test scripts and procedures (with expected results) to test new and amended software to be executed by self. * Works under routine supervision. Uses minor discretion in resolving problems or enquiries. Usually receives specific instructions and has work reviewed at frequent milestones. * Interacts well with department and project team members. Develops and builds lasting relationships. * Performs range of varied work activities in a variety of structured environments. * Demonstrates an analytical and systematic approach to problem solving. * Is able to work in a team and is comfortable in approaching unknown colleagues. * Able to plan, schedule and monitor own work within short time horizons. * Prioritizes tasks and understands the need to meet agreed timescales. * Actively listens and is able to gather new information and skills. * Absorbs and applies technical information. Basic: * Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology. * 2 years post graduate experience in software industry. * Testing experience. * Experience using Microsoft Office and Microsoft SQL * Experience using Oracle with an understanding of SQL commands/queries Preferred: * Experience in functional testing via the user interface. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with some experience of customer service. * Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize own workload.
