The Senior Manager of Global Income Tax Accounting will be mitigating the tax risks to the company. Your work will be reflected in the Financial Statements and disclosures. You will be covering a wide area; which could include examining the details of an ongoing audit in Nigeria or a Fin 48 exposure in France or the consequences of a state audit.
Senior Manager Global Income Tax Accounting Job Description:
The Senior Manager of Global Income Tax Accounting will be the point person for the Global income tax accounting for the company, both foreign and U.S.
Other Responsibilities include:
• Ownership of tax accounting disclosures associated with Company's SEC filings
• Interacts daily with Corporate Tax Department managers on financial accounting for income taxes as it relates to tax planning, reporting, and controversy.
• Regular interaction with corporate controllers and senior financial management, including CFO and Corporate Treasurer, on income tax accounting and reporting matters in varying responsibilities.
• Regular contact with, particularly budgeting and forecasting.
• Interact with outside legal and tax advisors for consulting, compliance, and external reporting.
• Manage all aspects of quarterly and year-end financial accounting for income taxes, including calculation of global tax provision, analysis of current and deferred taxes, calculation of interim period forecast FIN 18 effective tax rate, preparation of tax-related disclosures in SEC filings, management of external auditor tax accrual review and maintenance of internal controls.
• Significant interaction with business unit controllers, Corporate Tax managers and with senior management
• Monitor and assess U.S. GAAP and IFRS tax accounting developments
Senior Manager Global Income Tax Accounting Qualifications:
• CPA Required a Masters in Taxation a plus
• Minimum 7-10+ yrs. of U.S. Federal and/ or international corporate tax experience, either in-house with U.S. multinational corporations or in public accounting
• Strong analytical skills and broad understanding of U.S. corporate tax law with an emphasis in international corporate tax.
• Experience with tax compliance and provisioning software implementation a plus master’s degree in taxation a plus
