The Safety Director, Petrochemical and Refinery Operations acts as the focal point in developing, implementing, and maintaining theG4S Secure Solutions (USA) ety program throughout Texas and Louisiana and in providing leadership and guidance in integrating the petrochemical and refinery specific safety programs with emphasis on the continuity of critical business functions. This role is also charged with planning the integration of a series of tasks, procedures, and information that direct actions at the time of a safety event in order to reduce injuries improve the safety culture and minimize the risk to people and organization assets. Requirements
The Basic Qualifications of this position are:
* Must possess one or more of the following: - Associate’s degree or Higher in Safety Management or Environmental, Health and Safety or related field - Certified Safety Professional (CSP) credential from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals - Certified Safety Manager (CSM) credential from the National Association of Safety Professionals - Certified Safety Training Specialist (STS) credential from the National Association of Safety Professionals * Ability to obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) issued by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) * A minimum of 3 years experience in safety management and/or compliance * Previous safety experience in a petrochemical or manufacturing environment requiring demonstrated knowledge of the Marine Transportation Security Act of 2002, the Transportation Worker Identification Credential, and Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS) * Effective oral and written communication skills * Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office applications Other Important Qualifications of this position include:
* Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management or related field * Instructor Certified in First Aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
