Remedy Analyst

This position will provide global system support for the BMC Remedy ARS ticketing tool. Specifically, the individual will setup, debug, analyze and report activity within the environment. The Remedy Analyst may be responsible for the following:* Analyze, design, develop, implement and maintain custom Remedy ARS workflow and architecture* Installation and implementation of patch/version upgrades for Remedy ARS applications* Troubleshoot and maintain the integrations between Remedy ARS and third party applications. This may include working with the various vendors. (i.e. Alarm Point notification system & Right Answers knowledge solution)* Troubleshoot and participate in resolving remedy fat client and mid-tier issues* Work with DBA and System administrations during implementations and database refresh activities* Work closely with our remedy support team to implement, configure and troubleshoot customer related/application related issues* Maintain System/Data integrity across dev, test and prod environments* Create reports that will be used to keep management and analyst informed of all conditions present within the environment* Reviewing range of existing solutions available and presenting options and recommendations to the customer on which ones to use* Willingness to work hours necessary to meet scheduled milestones and resolve operational issues especially during build releases* Work within business guidelines for operational change and problem management procedures* Gather information from existing systems, analyzes program and time requirements. Prepares time estimates and justifications for assigned tasks and provides recommendations to project managersBasic/Required:* Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship* Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology Field or 7+ years experience within Information Technology* 7+ years of programming experience with at least 4+ years of these involving BMC Remedy ARS Application solutions version 6.x and above* Strong analytical and problem solving skills for design, creation and testing of programs* Experience working with appropriate programming languages, operating systems and software including: Unix/Windows OS, Oracle DB and SQL DBPreferred:* BMC Certified Remedy skilled professional (RSP)* BMC Certified Remedy administrator* BMC Certified Remedy developer* Knowledge of Alarm Point notification system* Knowledge of Right Answers solutions application * Experience developing in a Client-Server environment* Strong programming skills* Strong personal computer and business solutions software skills* Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers, team members, support personnel and clients* Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and independently* Ability to create reports in Excel and Word* Good verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to influence* Self motivated with a strong customer orientation
