This position located in the South Western USA is responsible for achieving targeted sales of SEC products including SCR catalyst systems and CRT particulate filter systems, 3-way catalyst and converters, oxidation catalysts, etc. on stationary engines. Included in the areas of responsibility are managing distributors and/or manufacturer?s representatives. This position is responsible for sales, customer technical support and implementation of the commercial programs and strategies necessary to promote future growth and profits. In addition, this position provides market and competitive intelligence and works closely with Marketing and Technology for continuing growth and profitability. 1) This position is responsible for the selling of catalysts, catalyst systems, and particulate filters to current and potential new customers for stationary engines in the assigned territory. 2) The Regional Sales Engineer is responsible for preparing territory sales projections for management review for use in budget forecasts, annual plans, and production schedules. 3) The Regional Sales Engineer will be responsible for presentations to customers and negotiations of sales contracts. 4) The Regional Sales Engineer will be responsible for recommending development program strategy as a result of frequent customer contact. The incumbent will assist in analyzing current and future market trends and recommending new areas of development work as well as marketing strategies. 5) The Regional Sales Engineer will implement all Commercial directives towards achieving the SEC sales and profit objectives. 6) The Regional Sales Engineer has responsibility and accountability for product pricing and executing selling strategies. In addition, the incumbent will assist in new business development including identifying new opportunities. 7) The Regional Sales Engineer is responsible for developing a territory plan and implementing the strategies of the SEC business. 8) The Regional Sales Engineer is directly involved in the preparation of monthly reports, including revenue forecasts, profit margin forecasts and monthly highlights.
Requirements:
Minimum BS Degree, Mechanical or Chemical Engineer preferred. Understanding of engine applications used for power generation, gas compression and other. Previous engine emissions product experience desirable. Five plus years experience in technical sales. Computer skills such as MS Office, Project, data logging, etc. Strong oral and written skills, the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Overnight travel up to 40%
