RATING ASSOCIATE
JOB SUMMARY
Entry of all statistical information for applications, quotes, change requests and renewals after underwriter has approved. Process drivers lists, cancellations and reporting forms according to the guidelines. All work processed according to Rater Associate authority level.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
* Entry of statistical information and computing of premiums is required for all commercial lines of business using the ACL system to generate a legal contract for the insured.
* Decide which files to refer back to the underwriter to review.
* Handle overflow of incoming calls and assist when possible.
* The primary goal is to produce quality technical assistance to insureds, agents and coworkers and to meet service standards.
* Regular attendance.
* Other job duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
Complete Phase I & II of in-house training. Organization and decision making skills needed. Accurate computer and typing skills are essential. Knowledge of the following systems: ACL, Image Right, Flex Bill, MIS, Silver Plume/Sage, systems used for reference, Synergy, Internet, Excel and Word. Must have good professional oral and communication skills and problem solving.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School diploma required. College Education &/or General Insurance Classes preferred.
EQUIPMENT
Computer, telephone, calculator, copy machine and FAX machine.
