Position Summary / Key Job Responsibilities:
•A. POSITION SUMMARY

The Production Manager is a key member of the management team responsible for achieving the manufacturing revenue plan while managing operating costs and driving through-put efficiencies. The primary responsibility is to direct and oversee overall plant manufacturing operations including the machine shop and fabrication shop to ensure that these departments are integrated and are operating safely, efficiently, and effectively in accordance with the Business Plan and management systems. Reviews and analyzes reports, records and directives and confers with project managers/managers/supervisors to obtain data required for planning activities including new customer commitments, status of work in progress and problems encountered.

•B. JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

• • Ensures the value of the facility is maximized and achieves stated business goals;
• • Preserves high customer satisfaction including short lead-time turnaround ability;
• • Manages scheduling of production backlog to achieve monthly revenue target;
• • Achieves customer quality standards and specifications;
• • Makes recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations;
• • Ensures all operational and facility-related risks are identified and mitigated in a timely and efficient manner;
• • Ensures implementation of OSHA requirements; impart culture of safety; reduce workplace accidents;
• • Ensures continuous improvement in technical and business systems;
• • Realization of value engineering efforts;
• • Support of product development initiatives;
• • Assists management in development of the operating expense component of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and manage controllable expenditures at the facility;
• • Various metrics meeting or exceeding AOP such as: revenue per man hour; OT%; direct vs. indirect labor%; also, value-add per person;
• • Monitors facility performance against budget and targets to ensure revenue is meeting or exceeding (AOP and expense budget is at or below AOP.

Qualifications / Requirements:
•A. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS (Candidate shall meet the following requirements)

• • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience
• • 10+ years of manufacturing management experience including operations in Metal Fabrication Machining, Assembly and Quality Control
• • Experience in producing standard & engineered-to-order products
• • Track record of accomplishment in manufacturing operations with revenue in excess of $50M
• • Knowledge of business planning and financial management including production, inventory control and cost accounting practices
• • Strong computer skills and PC experience
• • Desire and ability to establish strong working relationships with peer leadership positions, notably Manufacturing, Engineering, Materials & Sales;
• • Superior communication skills - interpersonal and presentation;
• • Influential and motivational leadership style;
• • Deep-water experience and knowledge of Gulf of Mexico operating practices preferred
• • ISO and OSHA experience
