Job Description:
General description: Configure Operator Training Simulators (OTS).
Use, develop, and maintain tools for OTS.
Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
-Configure operator training simulators for air separation, hydrogen generation, and other plants designed by the Air Liquide Group. Main tasks include: Dynamic modeling of the process cycle of a plant based on design documents, in-house know-how, and expertise using custom tools
-Integration of plant control system (DCS) with dynamic model
-Testing, operation, and troubleshooting of simulated plant
-Creating training scenarios
-Manage OTS projects from the proposal through execution and delivery
-Occasional travel for customer support and OTS setup
-Write manuals and other documentation for the OTS
-Improve the existing tools and work flow through programming and updated work practices
-Meet or exceed the company's safety standards
Education / experience
-B.S. in Chemical Engineering
-Very good knowledge in thermodynamics
-Programming experience
-Simulation / modeling experience
-Experience with industrial control systems is an asset
