Facilities Infrastructure Project Manager
• Infrastructure Project Manager for Facilities projects • This role will ensure projects are properly scoped with customer (Real Estate group) requirements and resources are developed with local support functions. • Will be assigned to manage the transition of Data center services at several globally diverse data centers as well as run facilities. • Develop a transition plan, transition schedule, maintain schedules, develop inventories, manage knowledge transfer sessions, and weekly status around the globe. • Thorough knowledge of principles, concepts, theories and practices of project management. • Strong team leadership and time management skills; including negotiation and coaching skills as well as the ability to champion the benefits of effective project management. • Experience of managing multiple projects of a complex nature to successful completion. • Experience in managing projects for infrastructure implementations required. • Ability to work independently and in team environment to analyze and resolve problems effectively. • Ability to negotiate and influence resolution of complex issues with technical engineers and project sponsors. • Strong organization and interpersonal skills. • Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project required. • Exceptional communication skills (oral and written) • Strong interpersonal skills • Experience working in a global, matrixed organization. • Experience with Consolidations, relocations, and decommissions of Data Centers and commercial facilities. • Voice/Data experience - must be able to identify the network infrastructure requirements such as sizing/scoping the facility and translating the IT equipment (Cisco Networks/MPLS setups) • Will work with telecom providers (AT&T/Verizon) to coordinate turning on service in buildings • Previous experience as a Senior Network Engineer that has coordinated the setup of infrastructure networks with a facility would be ideal.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent • 5+ years experience managing infrastructure projects required • PMP Certification is a must ( if all that is left is the PMP test, the candidate may be considered)
