Operator - Gas Fill Plant Pumper
FILL PLANT PUMPER / CYLINDER HANDLER
TWSCO is a full-service Industrial, Specialty Gas and Welding Supply Distributor located in Houston, TX. Currently we have a Fill Plant Pumper / Cylinder Handler (rotational) position available at our distribution facility located in Houston.
Fill Plant Pumper Responsibilities (70%):
Safe cylinder handling - Observes safety rules, guidelines and procedures at all times. Shuttles cylinders safely. Properly secures load. Inspects for leaks and damage.
Procedurally and accurately fills cylinders – Fills compressed gas and liquid cylinders according to written procedures. Cognizant to temperature, pressure vacuum, vaporization, fronts & leak issues.
Cylinder Handling Responsibilities (30%):
Fills propane tanks.
Properly stages cylinders – Pulls correct gas product and bundles correctly. Stages order for proper truck shipment. Sorts accurately as required.
Efficient organization of cylinders and pallet work area – Ensures inbound, fill and outbound cylinder workflow is organized, controlled and efficient, at all times. Maintains neat housekeeping practices.
Accurately and securely loads pallets and trucks – Consistently, timely and accurately loads cylinders and pallets on trucks. Ensures proper securement. Inspects straps and ensures proper securement.
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalency.
1-2 years in a fill plant operation, cylinder distribution processes or similar experience.
Ability to safely operate a forklift.
Capable of meeting job physical demand requirements.
Capable of completing basic mathematical calculations.
Ability to effectively communicate and interact with customers and employees.
