Network Engineer

• Plan, investigate, design, and implement physical and logical communications networks.


• Provide advice to network staff regarding design specifications.


• Analyze the needs of the customer and business unit and recommend solutions for all types of voice and data networks.


• Research and evaluate vendor products and make recommendations for the purchase and/or upgrade of networks.


• Assists in the planning and execution of large scale network projects.


• Anticipates and mitigates potential security breaches through network connections to ensure ision Making / Problem Solving:


• Applies existing guidelines and procedures to make varied decisions within a department.


• Uses sound judgment and experience to solve moderately complex problems.


• Uses some independent judgment to identify problems and recommend solutions.

Resources Managed:

• Provides some supportive advice with limited impact on the use of resources.


• Makes recommendations that impact the resources of assigned team or hnical Skills/Knowledge:


• Possesses extensive knowledge of a distinct skill or function and a thorough understanding of the organization and work environment.


• Work is somewhat complex and requires moderate analytical ability.


• Acts as in a senior or lead capacity by assigning and reviewing the work of others.

• Looking for 7-8 years experience with routing and switching.


• 5 years experience with Cisco Firewall.


• This particular group is a Cisco based shop and prefer a CCNA or CCNE certificaiton
