Manager, Provider Coding and Education Tracking Code 218181-955 Job Description
Supervises coding staff and trains employees to ensure that staff is monitoring and auditing medical record coding performed by physician offices to ensure proper CPT and/or ICD-9 coding requirements are met. Assures the accuracy and timeliness of the coding process. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Required Skills
Manages, develops and implements strategically methods to identify and capture risk adjustment data. Manages the relationships with provider network to improve business scope. Manages, monitors, and evaluates the effectiveness of the coding initiatives. Provides weekly activity and other reports. Manages and provides all necessary documents required for CMS Risk Validation. Facilitates compliance with local and federal regulations and corporate Standard Operating Procedures. Develops action plans in the event of deviation from compliance policies. Required Experience
Minimum Requirements: At least five years coding experience and five years industry experience. Knowledge in ICD-9 and/or CPT coding required. Certifications as Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), or Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ).Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
