Operates specialized mammography stereotactic biopsy and bone densitometry equipment, performs direct patient care and performs a variety of technical procedures to produce images for diagnosis of breast diseases and osteoporosis evaluation. Performs QA/QC tasks to maintain ACR accreditation Texas Department of Health Licensure and MQSA requirements. Minimum Job Qualifications: cessful completion of formal radiologic technology course study. t have attended prescribed courses or seminars relating to the use of mammography equipment and positioning of mammography patients. Maintain continuing education points according to the ACR & MQSA guidelines and Texas Department of Health rules and regulations. uld have at least one year of experience as a radiologic technologist and one year experience in mammography. t perform a minimum of 250 mammographic procedures annually having performed a minimum of 100 mammograms in the previous 12 month period. ks independently with very little supervision. t stay current with all mammography rules and regulations for the ACR and Texas Department of Health. ellent technical and communication skills. The ability to exhibit effective interaction with patients physicians peers and radiologists.
