International Space Station Electrical Design Engineer
Works with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements. Analyzes and translates requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications. Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements. Monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements. Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle. Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.

Basic Qualifications For ConsiderationDo you currently reside in the Houston, Texas area or are you willing to relocate yourself to the Houston, Texas area? There are no relocation benefits with this position.

Typical Education/Experience
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility. Analyze design requirements for the development of electrical wire harnesses for the International Space Station (ISS). Perform Systems Engineering and develop Requirements for the integration of new electrical subsystems into the ISS. Integrate customer requirements with ISS electrical resources. Prepare and release flight products consisting of Wire harness design drawings, integrated schematics, interface diagrams, Interface Control Documents (ICD's) and Engineering Orders (EO's). Proficient with CAD tools (e.g., UG, CHS, CEEDS) used for the generation of Avionics Products. This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.
