Job Description:

Total Safetys Graphic Designer will:

• Brainstorm and mock up design ideas
• Present ideas to internal audiences
• Develop creative content for the purpose of marketing the company and its brand
• Work in conjunction with deadlines
• Use computer software, particularly Adobe In Design, Photoshop and Illustrator, to execute designs
• Work in a team-oriented environment, as well as with others, such as printers, programmers, developers or other technicians, to complete the final product

Qualifications:

Total Safetys Graphic Designer should:

• Possess an artistic sensibility
• Be a creative, who is not afraid to think outside the box
• Excel at the use of color and composition to represent the ideology of our company, services and products in a clear and concise way, consistent with our brand
• Possess the ability to clearly identify the brand of the company and its products and services and determine graphical ways to market that brand through various mediums and to appropriate target audiences
• Understand the difference between marketing to internal and external audiences

• Knowledgeable about design elements
• Handle rejection and constructive criticism in a positive way
• Have experience designing various printed professional marketing collateral, including newsletters, brochures, signage, exhibits, promotional products, logos and business cards, as well as web design
• Have 3+ years of professional graphic design experience
• Hold a minimum of an Associates Degree in Graphic Design, Communications, Marketing or a related field.

• Compensation/Benefits:

  Salary is commensurate with experience.  This is an exempt managerial position and is therefore not subject to overtime.

  Employee Benefits include relatively standard Medical, Prescription Drug, Dental and Vision insurance coverage on a cost sharing basis with the company, wherein Total Safety pays approximately 75% of the cost for employee coverage and for dependant coverage.  The medical program is a part of a PPO Network, but also allows the employee to select vendors outside of the network at an increased co-payment amount.  The company provides group term life, accidental death & dismemberment, and short and long-term disability insurance for all employees at no cost to the employee.    A voluntary program of group term life insurance (and AD&D) is also available to all employees.  The employee pays the entire cost of this coverage, if selected.  The company offers a 401(k) Retirement Plan, available to all employees, allowing for discretionary company contributions based on profits.  The company pays for all administrative costs under the 401(k) Retirement Plan.
