Applications Engineer
Researches, collects, and reports information on the ability and capacity of company products and competing equipment; Aids in the design and development of equipment and systems, and redesign of existing systems to fulfill the needs of customers. Responsibilities also include acting as technical liaison to the sales team. Ability to apply to carry out detailed written and/or oral instructions, multi-task, discern priority situations and work with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated communication and organization skills
Ability to use personal computer to perform word processing, spreadsheet and database management (MS Office) and a strong knowledge of computer and internet fundamentals
AutoCAD proficiency
Coordinate technical details, rough sketches and notes into precise and detailed plans, providing visual guidelines
Input data as needed into engineering Excel spreadsheets, worksheet or database as needed to archive drawings and engineering data.
Prepare design and technical drawings and related specifications for the application of various company products (utilizing AutoCAD). Use engineering sketches, specifications and related data and drawings to determine correct product application.
Create, organize and input technical details, rough engineering sketches, notes, standardized engineering drawings, templates and worksheets into AutoCAD.
Review equipment information for completeness. Research, report, & collect information on the ability & capacity of engineered products.
Scan and print plans and insert into AutoCAD.
Input data into Engineering Excel worksheets and AutoCAD templates.
Organize, number and print prepared drawings for final submittal format.
Utilize knowledge of materials, company directed engineering procedures to complete projects
Engineers must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the HVAC and/or Commercial Construction fields.
OR a minimum of an Associates degree and/or technical certification in mechanical engineering-related studies with a minimum of 2-4 years of related experience, technical degrees and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience, in mechanical and/or drafting engineering environment preferred.
