Application Engineer-Industrial Construction/Field Engineer/Consulting
New openings in North and South Carolina + opening in Houston, TX. Looking for Degreed Technical Consultants / Field Engineers with strong background in industrial construction and a passion for providing technical support to customers. As a Field Engineer, you will interact with leaders at top Engineering and Design firms and strategic construction industry individuals to provide specialized construction solutions. Salary plus performance bonus (up to 10K to 15K) dependant on experience. Client provides company car, laptop, phone, etc. Must relocate to NC, SC, or Houston; locals preferred but relocation assistance available.
Responsibilities:
-> Provide technical support on project specifications or design calculations to customer design groups, engineers, architects, owners groups and to inside sales personnel.
-> Assist clients and engineering firms in developing specifications, standards, design criteria that will meet local codes and construction methods
-> You will be meeting with clients on a daily basis either by visiting job sites or with design engineers to assess application problems and opportunities
-> Investigate product failures in the field and take action as required
-> Establish relationships with key decision maker within engineering and design groups, A/E firms and with owners groups.
-> Maintain accurate records of contacts, specifications and project status, by way of computer software and by timely communication.
Requirements:
-> Technical Bachelor?s degree is required, preferably in Civil, Mechanical, Structural, Industrial Engineering or related Technical Degree. MBA would be a definite plus.
-> EIT Certification is highly desireable.
-> 2 to 4 years Experience in engineering or related technical field. The more senior position will require 2 years minimum experience as Field Engineer, Sales Engineer or a similar capacity
-> Knowledgeable of Construction, Energy, Oil&Gas, Refinery, Chemical Industries and typical Plant practices
-> Excellent verbal and written communication skills and must be computer literate
-> Must not have any driving restrictions
-> Must have stable work history, no more than two different positions in the last 5 years.
